So since re-releasing Master of Oceania, I have been working on something a little different for a change of pace. I am developing a Tabletop RPG for my Freeworlds Chronicles setting. I am developing a common RPG System which I plan to develop RPGs for all my settings with The Freeworld Chronicles being the first. I call it the IIdX Roleplaying System. You can make a human, a menton, a coriolan, or any of a number of other races, make a psion, a soldier, an explorer or any number of other classes. I'm making pretty good progress on it at this time, although it will need to be proofread and playtested before release, and in October, I plan to begin proofing "Song of the Multiverse Vol I: Adagio of Awakening" for release, and that will take precedence, assuming I am not done with the game by then. So stay tuned. I expect it will be out by the end of the year.

I am in the middle of a very busy season writing-wise. I am still working on final edits for "The Freeworlds Chronicles, Volume II: Master of Oceania" and I have "Song of the Multiverse, Volume I: Adagio of Awakening" being beta-read by a few friends. In addition, you might have noticed a few changes here on the site recently, re-branding the site with the logo for my new publising label. The life of an author can be rewarding, but sometimes it can make you feel like a juggler trying to keep a half-dozen yipping puppies in the air all at the same time.

At any rate, expect an announcement that "Master of Oceania" is being re-released very, very soon.

Thank you to those that attended my two panels at MALcon, "RPG world building" and "How to be a better roleplayer." Both panels were enjoyable discussions. As promised here are the sides from both panels in .PPTX and .PDF formats.

Character Concept art for the Freeworld Chronicles. First is Qaeli, the erstwhile companion. Don't let her lack of hair or her complexion worry you, she's a Menton. They all look like that. Qaeli enjoys netjumping, an illegal activity, analogous to hacking, and she dislikes vegetarian cuisine.

Next is Master Jax Idor, the mentor. Always seemingly running short on patience, one wouldn't think he would have to remind anybody that he's not running a wayward house for girls. Nonetheless, Master Idor is a capable teacher, and provides a stabilizing influence.

And finally, our protagonist, Abby Ashford. Abby grows throughout the series from a brash, playful, pouty teen to a servant of the divine will. But no matter how far she has come, she still cannot stand Telorin gruel.
